Yikes.  The child is deluded.  I showed her the transformation pics, and explained about the lawsuits...  She responded with "Well, he takes the crowd away."

Ok.  I can see that.  She's grooving on the music, but she also wants to meet him.

Well, on the one side, depending on which Michael Jackson she's obsessed with, there was a great deal of talent there at one time. On the other side, I don't think she's his type.

Kind of like me and Ricky Martin.  I know I'm never going to meet him, so I can happily fantasize that he's straight.

And his music is pretty damned incredible, especially the very early stuff: Off the Wall, Thriller B-sides, and even Bad had some excellent tunes.
